Surgical extractions call for more than forceps. Flaps must be raised, teeth luxated, roots elevated and the site closed. A combined kit puts the core instruments for all of these steps in one place. Also, the Aurix Surgical Extraction & Luxation System is a 13-piece oral surgery kit built around that idea.

Why combine extraction and luxation instruments?
Generally, many clinics store luxators, elevators and soft-tissue instruments separately. In addition, on the day, that means opening several pouches and hunting for the right pattern. A combined kit means one cassette per procedure: easier set-up, faster reprocessing and a consistent layout that the whole team knows.
What a combined kit typically covers
- Soft tissue: periosteal elevator and retractor for flap access.
- Luxation: luxating elevators to sever the PDL and create space.
- Elevation: straight and angled elevators for controlled leverage.
- Delivery and clean-up: instruments for root tips and socket debridement.
See the Oral collection for the exact contents of this kit.
Who should consider it
In general, the kit suits general dentists who perform surgical extractions regularly, oral surgery clinics that want standardised cassettes for each chair, and teaching clinics.
Setting up the cassette
Arrange instruments in the order they are used: soft-tissue instruments first, then luxators, elevators and finally clean-up instruments. Keeping the same order on every cassette speeds up assisting and makes missing instruments obvious at a glance.
Reprocessing
- Wipe gross debris at the chairside.
- Close the cassette and transfer it to the decontamination area.
- Generally, clean ultrasonically or in a washer-disinfector.
- Dry, inspect, wrap and autoclave.

Making it your own
Need a different forceps pattern or an extra retractor? Additionally, the kit can be adapted through our custom kits service or built from scratch in the kit builder.
